Uncloseted Comedy began as a pop-up Pride event on June 30th 2022 at Levity Comedy Club & Lounge. The show's success allowed it to evolve into a monthly showcase of Ontario's favourite queer comedians.

In recognition of Pride 2023, Uncloseted Comedy and The Staircase Theatre bring you The Uncloseted Comedy Pride Festival, a weekend-long celebration of queer comedy. The festival features several practices of comedy, various show formats, workshops, and events as we come together to celebrate queer joy.

Rae Lockdust is a comedian, producer, and Social Service Worker with the goal of creating spaces for queer folks to safely explore their identities without shame. Always having a love for comedy, Rae found their voice by connecting to other queer comedians who paved the way for others to find space in comedy and now looks to offer the same to future comedians.
